On the eve of the New Year the new building of Samarkand branch of Tashkent University of Information Technology was put into operation.
In the process of large scale reforms carried out in education sphere under the leadership of the President Islam Karimov the special attention paid to education and professional orientation of young people at the level of the modern requirements. In accordance with the special state programs the material and technical base of educational institutions is being strengthened. Preparation of specialists is carried out in accordance with the current requirements on the new directions.
The decree of the President "On improving the system of personnel training in the sphere of information technology" on June 2, 2005 is an important guide to action for increasing work in this direction to the new level. In accordance with this document in Fergana, Karshi, Nukus, Urgench and Samarkand cities there were established the branches of Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
In Samarkand branch of the University also the special attention is paying to prepare of qualified specialists in the fields of information and communication. Over the pass period more than 1550 post graduates graduated from the branch, who works now in various companies and educational institutions. At the present here it is preparing bachelors in the four areas and masters in two specializations.
- Putting into operation the new building is the result of the huge attention paid in our country for development of information technology – says the director of Samarkand branch of Tashkent University of Information Technology Ulugbek Narzullaev. - In the modern three-stored building there are all necessary conditions for youth to get deep knowledge. Here there are thirty classrooms, ten computer rooms, two laboratories provided with the necessary equipment. In addition, all the conditions exist in video conferencing room and multimedia language laboratories, electronic library and information resource center, gym. I hope, effectively taking these opportunities, young people will be qualified in this field.
At the same day in the new building of Samarkand branch of Tashkent University of Information Technology the videoconference with participation of professors and teachers of the university and its branches, the specialists Communications and Information Agency of Uzbekistan was held.
