– establishing general principles for the use of artificial intelligence technologies;
– clarifying the powers of the authorized state body in this field.
According to the Law, artificial intelligence is defined as a set of technological solutions that enable the imitation of human knowledge and skills, independent learning, the search for solutions, and the achievement of results comparable to human intellectual activity when performing specific tasks.
It is stipulated that, when making legally significant decisions related to human rights and freedoms, reliance solely on the conclusions of information systems operating on the basis of artificial intelligence technologies is not permitted.
In addition, the Law establishes that unlawful processing of personal data using artificial intelligence technologies, as well as their dissemination through mass media, telecommunications networks, or the global Internet, shall entail:
– confiscation of the instruments used to commit the administrative offense;
– imposition of a fine in the amount of 50 to 100 times the minimum wage (up to 41.2 million soums).
The Law enters into force from the date of its official publication.
