Current state of cybersecurity in Uzbekistan

In the context of accelerating digital transformation processes, cybersecurity is becoming one of the most important strategic directions for the Republic of Uzbekistan. The widespread introduction of information technologies in the public administration system, financial sector, energy, transport, healthcare, and education is accompanied by an increase in the scale and complication of cyber threats.

In recent years, the legal and organizational framework for strengthening cybersecurity has been formed in Uzbekistan. Normative legal acts aimed at ensuring information security, protecting personal data, as well as protecting state information systems and critical infrastructure facilities, have been adopted. The activities of authorized state bodies in this area have been strengthened.

In this regard, a comprehensive approach is being implemented to ensure the security of information and communication tools, including technical, organizational measures, and personnel training. Improving the qualifications of specialists, developing domestic IT and cybersecurity solutions, and implementing international best practices are important areas of this activity.

In general, the state of cybersecurity in Uzbekistan is at the stage of consistent development and has become an integral part of state policy. Ensuring the reliable and stable operation of information systems, preventing cyber threats, and creating a safe environment for the development of the digital economy remain priority tasks.

In the future, further strengthening of a comprehensive and systematic approach to ensuring cybersecurity will become a solid foundation for the digital development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
